New (Old) Justin Vernon aka Bon Iver
This is a taste of Justin Vernon before he blew up as Bon Iver with the incredible album For Emma, Forever Ago. I don’t know if he’s harmonizing with himself or slightly staggering a recording of himself, but the vocals of this track are hauntingly reminiscent of the Skinny Love that enchanted so many, myself included. Word is that he recorded this in Wisconsin and only made 100 copies which were packaged up in paper sleeves with various nature photos on them and sold at a small record shop.
